    Open Arms is Australia's leading provider of mental health services for current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families.

    The newly established Clinical Governance Branch in Open Arms is seeking two APS 5 Information Services Officers as part of the Information Releases Team.

    This team takes carriage of processing all Open Arms legal notices including Freedom of Information (FOI) and subpoena requests, and APP12 Releases of Information (ROI) to Open Arms clients.

    This team delivers high quality services and support to Open Arms with responding to requests for information, escalations and liaison activities across Open Arms, the broader Department and the Ministers Office.

    This role involves high attention to detail in the reviewing, collating and releasing of complex and sensitive client content, managing competing priorities to enable timely, effective and coordinated responses to all Information Releases while exercising sound professional and ethical judgement.

    The occupant of this position will work closely with all members of the Clinical Policy and Governance section and may be required to undertake duties to support other similar functions within the team.

    As an APS 5 employee, the successful candidate at this level would generally be required to undertake work that is moderately complex to complex in nature and operate under limited direction.

    They are accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility.

    APS 5 employees undertake specialist or technical research and analysis, conduct investigations, and undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support or operational tasks.

    Employees may have a considerable public contact role and may be required to communicate with and provide advice to a wide variety of customers and external stakeholders.

    Work may include supervision of lower level employees and responsibility for managing staff performance, allocating work and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training.

    Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to18 months.

    A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.

    Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
