Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Modeler to join a newly formed team within the banking sector.
The candidate in this role will l be responsible for defining creating and maintaining logical and physical models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring data architecture alignment within business domains
• Working closely with business stakeholders and business analysts to define business requirements
• Implementing best practice data modeling in projects
• Creating and maintaining logical and physical models
• Driving alignment to data architecture and modeling standards and guardrails in projects
• Collaborating with development teams to implement data models
• Advocating modeling designs where necessary
• Implementing data modeling governance framework
• Reviewing data modeling artifacts

Applying industry knowledge of business domains in data models Required Skills and Capabilities:

• Proven Experience in Reference Data Management
• Advanced skills in Dimensional Modelling and Data Vault Modelling
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience in implementing data models in databases
• Experience in Entity Relationship Modelling
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to translate business requirements to technical requirements
• Proven Experience in creating Enterprise Bus Matrix
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Relationships:

• Collaborating with Enterprise and Solution Architects as well as Technical Leads across the client's organisation
• Developing relationships with project delivery and governance teams

Building relationships with key stakeholders, including Platform and Insight teams Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in computing or engineering related discipline or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years Data Modelling experience
• Experience with Info Sphere Data Architect or Erwin is desirable
• Insurance or Financial services experience is highly advantageous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
