Procurement Officer

About the role:

This rare opportunity for a procurement officer in a well known local government. This is a full time permanent role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a high standard of procurement and contracts management.
• Draft, distribute, and evaluate tender documentation.
• Understand and implement relevant laws and policies as needed.
• Procurement and contract management.
• Experience in procurement policies and procedures in both local and public sector settings
• Skilled at writing detailed reports
• Liaises with other divisions and other departments, organisations and the general public as required.
• Skill in spotting issues and coming up with practical solutions for complex problems.

Key requirements include:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as procurement officer.
• Formal qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication.
• You will be an outcome focused professional, passionate about delivering a high quality of service.
• Strong computer skills including applications and databases.
• This position is located in Perth, Western Australia.
