- A relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience providing secretariat support to committees and/or boards.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and high standards of professional presentation.
- experience in a primary healthcare in the NT, with a focus on supporting advocacy activities by collating and summarising stakeholder responses, preparing briefing papers and submissions, and scheduling meetings with key influential members of parliament.
- well-developed organisational acumen and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan, organise and establish own work priorities to manage a complex workload and competing demands.
- act as the point of contact for the Faculty Chair and the State Manager, in response to external stakeholder enquiries or requests for RACGP representation and analyse and action incoming requests to prioritise matters of importance to members.
- collate, and disseminate papers, policies, reports, and correspondence for the State Manager, Faculty Council and sub committees.
- research and prepare briefing papers, tender applications and submissions on a broad range of member-focused issues.
- coordinate Council and Executive meetings and appointments, records and correspondence, proactively scheduling, organising and prioritising meetings .

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is the voice of general practitioners (GPs) in our growing cities and throughout rural and remote Australia. For more than 60 years, we've supported the backbone of Australia's health system by setting the standards for education and practice and advocating for better health and wellbeing for all Australians.
We foster the future of general practice through our profession-led, community-based training model for the Australian General Practice Training Program and other training pathways. We train GPs to deliver quality, whole-person care to patients across Australia, support their ongoing professional development and provide a point of connection for GPs serving communities in every corner of the country.

About you
As our Faculty Officer for the NT Faculty, you'll play a crucial role to the success of advocacy efforts in the region and ensures quality and compliance of Faculty Council and subcommittee operations, in addition to coordinating RACGP member representatives across the region.

Reporting to the State Manager, you'll provide executive secretariat services to the State Manager, Faculty Council and sub committees, including meeting planning, activity scheduling, logistics, and maintaining meeting records.
