    The role we are offering you:

    We are seeking individuals to support the maintenance of Synthetic Training Devices in our Perth Training Centre. The primary responsibility of a Simulator Technician is to maintain the Simulator and ensure its availability and performance.

    Shift work is a requirement for this role.

    This is an entry level opportunity, so you will be considered for the position even if you do not have hands on simulator experience.

    You must reside in Australia and have full working rights to be able to be considered.

    Are you ready to:

  • Carry out all maintenance tasks effectively as directed by Senior Simulation Technician or Technical Manager
  • Carry out all maintenance tasks to meet internal and external compliance requirements
  • Work to CAE's Quality Management System
  • Participate in maintenance related continuous improvement activities
  • Work to CAE's Environment, Health & Safety Management System
  • Demonstrate professional, disciplined and safe behaviour in all day to day tasks
  • Our ideal candidate has:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent
  • 2-year technical degree or 4 years in an electronic, avionic, or technical related field.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates with some hands on experience with Simulator, Aircraft Avionics or Electrical Control System maintenance, with a good level of knowledge and experience of technical processes applied to simulator maintenance, engineering and testing.
  • Hands on experience using hand tools and test equipment
  • A good understanding of computer networks would be an advantage.
  • Permanent Resident capable of obtaining a minimum baseline security clearance

  • Ability to support local team to contribute to developing solutions to complex issues
