    As part of the Freightways Ltd group of companies, SHRED-X is a fast paced and rapidly growing company providing complete secure destruction services for paper, electronic, product, and textile waste, diverting over 95% of processed waste away from landfill into sustainable initiatives.

    Reporting to the General Manager, the new Wetherill Park Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient and effective operation of all logistics and operational aspects of the branch.

    The ideal candidate will have a robust operational background, particularly in logistics management, and will be adept at handling various responsibilities such as safety, compliance, operational processes, logistics efficiencies and policy enforcement.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Being aligned with our Values of Safe, Smart, Sustainable and Service.
    • Direct involvement in day-to-day delivery of production targets, logistics DIFOT and management of branch personnel.
    • Manage the daily operations of the branch with a significant focus on Productivity and Safety, furthering the safety culture of the branch.
    • Provide strong leadership to branch personnel including mentoring, performance reviews, training and support.
    • Champion a customer-centric and safety focused culture supporting the needs of individual departments and ensuring effective communication channels between departments.
    • In consultation with the General Manager, develop branch strategy plans in line with the business vision and strategic initiatives.
    • Ensure the branch is profitable, meeting and exceeding budget and KPI expectations.
    • Manage compliance, policy and procedural requirements ensuring company standards, compliances and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and involvement in network.

    Skills required:

    • Having a strong safety focus
    • Demonstrated experience managing a Branch or Business unit.
    • Strong commercial acumen and business understanding
    • Demonstrate thorough ability to gather and analyse business data for evidence-based decision making.
    • Proven strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Collaborative approach and excellent leadership qualities.
    • Proficiency in identifying issues and areas for improvement through analysis and ability to implement improvement.
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to business demands.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High level computer software skills, including Excel.
    • Degree qualified advantageous but not essential
    • Proven record of safety, quality, and operational excellence, with experience in managing change and implementing continuous improvement.
    • Proficiency in Logistics and CRM software, MS Office and advanced Excel spreadsheeting.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    • Have a proven record as an Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor or Branch Manager in a similar role in operations and logistics within the logistics / waste industries.
    • Display strong organisational effectiveness to drive outcomes, working across budgets, reports and forecasting sales and identifying further capacity within the organisation.
    • Having a Degree in Business or Operations Management, or a similar suitable qualification would be preferable.
