    About the Role

    We are seeking a Retail Business Application Specialist on a 12 month contract (likely to extend) to join our esteemed Technology Team at our Cremorne Office in Melbourne. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional within the Retail sector to contribute to our dynamic business. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our critical software applications and driving excellence in our business operations, particularly in the realm of Business applications (AP21).

    Reporting directly to the Business Applications Lead, you will be a proactive force in enhancing operational efficiency and elevating the customer experience. You are excited by potential system and application enhancements and have the ability to work in an "all hands-on deck" environment. You excel in assisting business users with application inquiries, resolving system issues, implementing problem-solving strategies, and providing support for new features following system upgrades.

    Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Develop an extensive expertise in the POS and ERP solutions, encompassing both functional and technical aspects.
  • Provide support to users for these critical systems, overseeing daily operational requirements.
  • Support day-to-day activities within the Business application and Development functions, fostering collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Assist the team in managing and supporting daily system queries and issues, facilitating the development of enhanced processes and system utilization.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams (both internal and external), prioritizing and resolving system issues, as well as identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with users and key stakeholders to gather requirements for system enhancements, new system projects, and the implementation of new features.
  • Undertake the implementation of new systems and, equally important, provide comprehensive support for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of existing systems.
  • Contribution in end-to-end testing, including the development, approval, and execution of meticulous test plans.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of relevant system integrations and actively support the maintenance of existing integrations between systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and applications, catering to the needs of both IT and business users.
  • Strive to enhance user satisfaction by addressing their evolving needs.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the IT team and across various departments as required.
  • Maintain a strong focus on security measures to uphold the integrity of our applications.

    • To be successful you will ideally have the following:

  • Demonstrated 1-3 years of preferred experience in Retail Business Applications.
  • Previous experience with E-Commerce platforms is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in building, maintaining, and supporting integrations between applications.
  • Extensive ERP knowledge within the retail sector is a fundamental requirement.
  • Experience with Ap21 ERP is considered beneficial.
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management knowledge is a distinct advantage.
