    Description

    Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer and based out of our Erskine Park Head Office, we are seeking a results-driven and experienced Estimating Manager who will play a crucial role in leading and developing our National Estimating Team.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing our estimating capability by managing the estimating function and embedding the estimating processes, methods and tools that are to be used as well as the assurance of estimates developed by the business.

    About Civilcast Civilcast is an Australian owned market leader, specialising in the supply of stormwater, water, sewer, infrastructure and electrical and communications products for the civil infrastructure construction industry.


    Key Responsibilities will include:
    Ensuring accurate quote preparation and submissions.
    Driving a reduction in quote turnaround times and error rates.
    Leading, developing and upskilling the estimating team.
    Implementing a workflow and system for scheduling and processing estimate requests and communicating with key stakeholders.
    Collaborating with the sales team, special projects, and other key stakeholders to gather necessary information for precise estimations.
    Reviewing and analysing project requirements, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential risks and opportunities.
    Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.

    To secure this position, it is imperative that you can meet the following criteria: Tertiary qualifications in engineering or quantity surveying (highly desirable).

    Proven estimating experience gained from working within the Civil Construction Industry.
    Sound leadership and people management skills and experience.

    Technical proficiency in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office; Experience in sub-ground water and sewer infrastructure; Experience in the preparation of bill of quantities (advantageous).

    Technically minded with solid exposure & experience in the Civil or Construction industries enabling you to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
