- Develop and implement end-of-month financial processes and time-frames.
- Prepare end-of-month and end-of-year accruals, journals, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and clear suspense and control accounts.
- Manage payroll General Ledger (GL) processing and interfaces.
- Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts as needed.
- Assist in preparing Annual Financial Statements and reports.
- Prepare reports for external obligations.
- Conduct financial analysis as needed.
- Contribute to improvements in financial accounting and reporting.
- Exhibit leadership behaviours.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in financial and asset accounting, including Australian Accounting Standards, Financial Management Act 2006, and Treasurer's Instructions.
- Ability to develop and implement financial accounting services in line with governmental and stakeholder expectations, and community values.
- Full working rights within Australia
- Current National Police Clearance or able to obtain
