Liaison driven role
Internal budgeting/reporting focus
Commercial organisation with retail, events and other revenues

The Organisation:
Bespoke, centrally located Federal Government Department with a range of revenue streams

The Role:

You will be working as part of a management accounting team which strives to achieve strong partnerships with the Department's business lines.

At the EL1 level you are a direct conduit between the CFO unit and line areas.
Your role is to drive cohesion and support the line areas with all aspects of finance

This includes:
Management of divisions' budgets and forecasts
Provide financial reporting, variance analysis and face-to-face meetings with divisional clients
Manage and perform end of monthly financial tasks (e.g.
journals, accruals.)
Financial support project managers with the delivery of their projectsThis will be offered as a contract initially for 18 months with the potential that this role will become permanent in the future

Your Skills and Experience:
You have worked in a management accounting role at the EL1 level previously.
You must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships.
You must be anAustralian Citizen with a baseline clearanceto be considered for this role.
The client is happy to look at people joining the APS from the private sector
