    About the role

    Are you an expert in all things Accounts Receivable, with a strong desire to lead and create an engaging team culture?

    We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and people centric leader to join our Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Team Leader. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Payable Manager, you and your team will be responsible for supporting and administering Officeworks 30-day accounts including opening new accounts, responding to inbound customer queries, reviewing credit limits, allocating payments, refunds and collection calls all with the customer front of mind.

    Bringing your knowledge, expertise and your people focused approach, you will lead a team of up to 7 Officers, collaborating and learning from each other, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You pride yourself on your ability to connect with your team, finding out the differences in your people to coach, develop, mentor, and grow the capability of your team members. You have an inquisitive mind, thrive on driving process and productivity efficiencies whilst building a great culture and engaging team environment.

    As our Accounts Receivable Team Leader, you will:

  • Drive and lead a team known for being solutions driven whilst delivering an outstanding customer experience to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach and develop your team, upskilling and cross skilling your team providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Ensure that receivable payments are allocated timely and unallocated payments are kept to a minimum.
  • Work with internal & external stakeholders to resolve any disputed debts in ledger and manage bad debts for the business.
  • Be involved in projects, reviewing existing processes, recommending, and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • About you

    You have deep expertise working in accounts receivable functions with a strong ability to lead teams, developing and growing the capability of your people. Your key focus is driving performance and creating a positive and engaging team culture and thrive on looking at the way we look, identifying and driving opportunities for continuous improvement. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong experience in Accounts Receivable (3+ years) ideally from a retail or FMCG environment
  • You are a proven leader with experience leading teams of a similar size and nature, coaching and developing team members.
  • Experience using SAP is desirable.
  • Be solutions driven, decisive, motivated and a self-starter with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills (internal and external)
  • Able to work in and adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with strong analytical, planning and communication skills
