    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Are you a Plumber by trade wanting to share your knowledge, skills, and experience to the next generation of plumbers? We are looking for you We have diverse opportunities for Plumbing professionals to join our team.

    The teacher, Plumbing provides professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners, the organisations that employ them and the communities they serve.

    This position focuses on excellence in planning and conducting teaching and assessment. The role also includes resource development and educational administration.

    Your key accountabilities will be to:

    • Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
    • Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles
    • Design and develop high quality teaching and learning resources including tailored materials in a range of formats to suit varying learning styles
    • Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements
    • Establish and maintain a positive learning environment, including encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning
    • Engage with employers and industry representatives to adapt teaching materials and content to meet industry and employer needs and are current
    • Collaborate and develop key partnerships with industry bodies and employers to renew educational delivery practices and materials

    ABOUT YOU

    You will bring the following qualifications, skills and experience with you:

    Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or qualifications that meet the RTO Standards

    • Vocational qualifications at AQF level 3, 4 or 5 in Plumbing
    • Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
    • Registration with Victorian Building Authority Plumbing
    • A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
    • A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
