    Senior Policy and Strategic Advisor (F-10 Revision)The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools.

    We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.

    An exciting opportunity exists to join the VCAA in the VF-10 Revision Unit for a fixed term full-time position for 1 year.

    The Senior Policy and Strategic Advisor will support the Victorian Curriculum F-10 Revision and Implementation Project.

    This project involves the revision of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and the development of a suite of resources to support schools and teachers in implementation.

    The Senior Policy and Strategic Advisor will work closely with the Director of Curriculum, Revisions and Implementation Project Team, F-10 Unit and the Curriculum Managers to support the policy development and implementation strategy required to develop the next generation Victorian Curriculum F-10 and implementation resources.

    The Senior Policy and Strategic Advisor will support the Director of Curriculum by drafting high level policy documents, papers for the various governance teams involved in the review, including the EY-10 Committee and the VCAA's Board.

    The advisor will monitor the progress of the work, by developing timelines, monitoring processes, developing risk mitigation strategies, overseeing F-10 Revision and Implementation budgets and provide advice to the Curriculum Director (and Executive Director) about aspects of the project that require specific attention.

    The work will include analysing data and collated information to provide reports and make recommendations to the EY¬10 Committee and the Board for the progression of the project.

    The Senior Policy and Strategic Advisor will assist in developing strategy for the project and the various streams of the work associated with the revision.

    The project involves working with various stakeholders across DET and VCAA, and the three sectors that the VCAA service (government, Catholic and independent sectors).

    The advisor will require exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that stakeholders are informed of the progress of the revision, and that issues or concerns are identified to ensure success of this project.
