Are you passionate about pioneering security solutions in the hospitality and entertainment industry? We're on the hunt for a Network Security Engineer with a flair for seamlessly integrating Meraki Firewall appliances with Zscaler ZIA. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Meraki networking technologies, Zscaler ZIA, and the principles of cloud -based security. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a seamless and secure integration between Meraki and Zscaler ZIA to enhance our client's network security posture.

This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working at least two days a week from the office located in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

Responsibilities:

· Designing Zscaler ZIA architecture and IPsec VPN connectivity to provide secure internet access and remote access to corporate resources.

· Assist in configuring the IPsec tunnels between the Meraki Firewalls and Zscaler ZIA. This involves setting up the necessary parameters such as encryption algorithms, authentication methods, and IP addresses.

· Conduct thorough testing to ensure that the IPsec tunnels are properly configured and functional.

· Validate traffic is flowing correctly through the tunnels and that security policies are being enforced on endpoints.

· Monitor the IPsec tunnels for any issues or anomalies.

· Utilize existing monitoring tools to create seamless monitoring and assess logs to identify and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.

· Collaborate with the cyber security teams to define and implement consistent security policies across the Meraki Firewall and Zscaler ZIA.

· Ensure that policies are synchronized and enforced effectively to protect the network and assets.

· Fine-tune the configuration of the IPsec tunnels and related security settings to optimize performance and minimize latency.

· Adjust encryption parameters and other settings as needed to achieve the right balance between security and performance.

· Document the configuration, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices related to the IPsec tunnels integration. Share this knowledge with other team members to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.

Requirements

· Proven experience as a network security engineer, with specific expertise in Meraki MX and integrating Meraki Firewalls with Zscaler ZIA.

· Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Routing and IPsec.

· Extensive hands-on experience with Meraki networking technologies, including MX Security Appliances and SD-WAN.

· Familiarity with cloud-based security solutions, such as Zscaler ZIA, CASB, and SASE.
