    About the Position

    The Operations and Infrastructure Unit within our Operations Alliance is responsible for the management and maintenance of the City's parks, environments, fleet, street, and waste services. The Fleet & Depot services team manage fleet services as well as the City's central store located at the Depot in Osborne Park.

    This role contributes to the management of the City's central store.The store stocks a range of materials covering PPE, irrigation hardware, graffiti management, automotive equipment, construction materials and other general items.

    The Storeperson/Yardperson supports the City by:

    • Maintaining sufficient stock levels of nominated consumable items and liaising with Unit Supervisors to ensure existing stock levels reflect current requirements
    • Providing store services to work crews to ensure they have the required materials for their daily work schedules;
    • Providing support to internal Units and external contractors and suppliers by way of safe and efficient use of loader and forklift operations
    • Re-ordering stock items as necessary through the purchasing system and the stores Purchasing Officer;
    • Maintaining the general store and general storage yard in a safe, clean and well organised condition; and
    • Liaising with Contractors when removing stores from the general storage yard.
