    Position Title: Clinical Research Coordinator/Nurse
    Employment Type: Full Time, Maximum Term (12 months)
    Hours per week: 38 hours
    Position Grade: Health Service Manager Level 1
    Salary: $81,581.00 to $108,523.00 base per annum
    Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Health Employees Agreement 2019

    About the role:

    An amazing opportunity to work in a world class Research Centre. Located in the purpose built Kinghorn Cancer Centre, we are one of the largest clinical trials centres for oncology in Australia. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with interests in both clinical / case management of advanced cancer patients and research / clinical trials practice. We provide learning and development pathways for Clinical Research Coordinators based on their specific backgrounds. Background in ICU, A&E and Acute Care nursing is an advantage but not essential. Excellent opportunity for experienced clinical nurses looking for career change. Excellent opportunity for experienced Trial Coordinators looking to work in higher levels of research such as Phase 1/Early Phase. Strong candidates with pharmacy, medical science and other backgrounds will also be considered.

    The suitable applicants are expected to co-ordinate, recruit and manage data for clinical trials and research including direct patient contact and administrative duties as directed. The role involves case managing patients during their time on clinical trials and being the main point of contact for trial sponsors and other research partners. Individuals who are willing to use initiative, build on opportunities and contribute to the long-term development of the unit are encouraged to apply. Excellent interpersonal, clinical and communication skills are essential.

    Selection Criteria

    1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.

    2. Holds or working towards relevant tertiary qualifications in clinical research and clinical trials or equivalent relevant work experience OR a combination of relevant work experience and study.

    3. Demonstrated leadership ability working in a team and ability to use own initiative

    4. Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system

    5. Experience with secure data management, participant trial data collection, participant organisational skills, ability to rapidly master new concepts and skills and detailed knowledge of HREC and RGO submissions

    6. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills

    7. Demonstrated Clinical knowledge and experience working in Oncology, Haematology and/or Research

    8. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment
