Appselec Pty Ltd is a well-established electrical company with a positive workplace culture. We are seeking an Electrical Client Services Manager to join our team.
Position Overview
The Electrical Client Services Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day client service delivery within the electrical service and maintenance division. This role ensures high-quality technical support, coordination of field service electricians, and delivery of exceptional customer experience. The position requires strong organisational capability, excellent communication skills, and sound technical knowledge—experience in main switchboards, generators, and green energy systems is an advantage.
The Electrical Client Services Manager acts as the primary interface between clients, internal teams, and field personnel, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Existing clients include Tier 1 builders, large commercial building managers, hospitals and education facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Service Delivery Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, providing prompt communication and exceptional service.
- Manage incoming service requests, job scheduling, and allocation of field service electricians with the ability to delegate administrative tasks to support staff.
- Monitor job progress, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and service standards are met.
- Attend post-completion building tuning and DLP meetings as part of subcontract obligations on Appselec delivered projects.
- Manage weekly invoicing, ensuring ongoing profitability of the division.
- Provide regular updates, reporting, and follow-up to clients on job status and outcomes.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead, support, and mentor field service electricians to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality work.
- Coordinate daily workflows, prioritising urgent or critical tasks.
- Facilitate communication between field electricians and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with technical problem-solving, escalation support, and onsite issue coordination when required.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance and support across service projects (particular experience in any of main switchboards and ATS controls, backup generators and PLCs, programmable lighting control, solar, EV charging and large commercial electrical infrastructure generally would be advantageous.
- Review technical documentation, switchboard schematics, and equipment specifications as needed.
- Assist with quoting, scoping, and planning of electrical service works.
Operational & Administration Management
- Oversee maintenance schedules, service agreements, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure accurate job costing, invoicing, and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of service processes, systems, and resource planning.
- Ensure all works comply with WHS legislation, electrical standards, and company policies.
Key Attributes & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and service delivery.
- Advantageous: Experience with main switchboards, generator systems, ATS controls, lighting control.
- Ability to interpret drawings, standards, and technical documentation.
Leadership & Communication
- Clear and confident communicator, able to liaise with clients, electricians, administration staff, suppliers, and management.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and support field staff.
- Skilled at handling competing priorities and resolving issues promptly.
Organisation & Time Management
- Highly organised, with excellent ability to manage multiple jobs, clients, and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Teamwork
- Thrives in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Positive attitude, adaptable under pressure, and solutions-oriented.
Qualifications & Experience
- Electrical trade qualification (current A-Grade).
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in electrical service, facilities maintenance, or a related environment.
- Experience managing or coordinating field service teams highly desirable.
- Strong computer literacy (service management systems, MS Office, etc.).
- Current Driver's Licence.
