    The Product Owner – Global Access & Derivatives has accountability for the Global Access & Derivatives Business Squad and is a vital position within the P&I Crew. Reporting to the General Manager, Crew Lead – Product & Investing Solutions, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product management and operation of CommSec's International Equities Trading and Derivatives (includes Exchange Traded Options and Warrants Trading) Portfolios. The PO role is accountable for leading and defining the product vision, goals and roadmap, prioritising and delivering on business and squad outcomes through developing squad efficiency.

    As a Product Owner, you will lead a team of Product and L1 risk, as well as working with other squads within the P&I Crew and the broader CommSec Domain to realise objectives and key results and drive the overall success of the CommSec's product offering. This role requires strong product management skills, familiarity and comfort managing complex regulated financial products and exceptional stakeholder management across a range of internal and external stakeholders.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and execute the Global Access & Derivatives Business Squad roadmap aligned to the overall P&I Crew vision with the aim of creating value for our customers through best in class offering across both portfolios.
    • Define desired outcomes, set a clear plan of action and accelerate delivery to meet business targets. Lead and develop a multidisciplinary squad comprised of product and risk experts.
    • Create a psychologically safe, inclusive and high-performance culture through a style of leadership that supports delivery of outcomes from a diverse group of people.
    • Contribute to the broader P&I Solutions Crew outcomes by playing a key leadership role to ensure our squads and teams are able to deliver at pace. You will be involved developing the Crew Memo, quarterly prioritisation, delivery planning and execution.
    • Facilitate a strong understanding across your squad of your portfolio's drivers of business, both commercial and non-commercial. Stay abreast of external market trends (including regulatory, economic, industry, competitor, customer and technology) to inform CommSec's response to opportunities and threats.
    • Management of key supplier and vendor relationships to ensure the offering remains compliant and within risk appetite whilst also delivering desired customer and commercial outcomes.
    • Be accountable for effective risk management and timely remediation of customers through continued monitoring of, and implementing improvements to, the end-to-end Crew risk and control environment. This includes timely identification and rectification of issues to a high quality to prevent future instances of similar nature.
    • Effectively engage and influence stakeholders including the Crew Leadership Team and senior stakeholders across CommSec and CBA to articulate and execute our strategy.

    We're interested in hearing from people who have:

    • Proven track record managing complex products in the financial services industry; stockbroking experience is an advantage
    • Experience working in an agile operating model with demonstrated ability to deliver multiple change initiatives as well as BAU activities
    • A tertiary qualification either in business or finance related discipline
    • Intellectually curious and commercially minded
    • Excellent stakeholder influencing and management skills
    • Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen
