    We are searching for our next Senior Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Sydney, reporting into our Accounting Advisory Senior Manager. You will play an important role in ensuring effective governance, providing technical accounting advice and partnering the business, as well as reviewing M&A activity, business valuations and transaction structures. You will work closely with our finance, risk assurance, strategy and tax teams, as well as our external auditors, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your soft skills and technical knowledge. The role is hybrid, which means you'll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.

    A day in the life

    • Work with business partners to provide a broad range of accounting advisory support
    • Actively participate in the annual carrying value review process, including reporting to the Board
    • Write accounting guidance papers for new accounting standards and significant transactions.
    • Use your commercial acumen and technical accounting skills to enable better decisions and support business performance, ensuring the commercial aspects of a transaction are balanced with technical accounting implications.

    • Strong relationship building skills
    • Degree qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
    • Accounting qualification (CA preferred).
