    Could you be our next Property Manager?

    The Property Manager supports the Broader National Development Group by protecting and growing McDonald's property portfolio in the NSW and ACT region. This includes day to day property management, negotiating cost savings and lessor consent, representing McDonald's interests and growing sales through minimising business interruptions/impacts, additional signage, additional site access and parking agreements.

    What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?

  • Providing property management advice for the region, guiding restaurants on how to resolve matters locally and escalating where necessary.
  • Identifying and negotiating occupancy cost savings across rent, outgoings, land tax and consultant fees.
  • Negotiating lessor consent to facilitate restaurant transactions and reinvestment.
  • Coordinating the annual review of the region's land valuation notices and land tax assessments alongside the Senior Property Manager and National Head of Property Management.
  • Arranging accurate payment of annual land tax assessments for the region in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing neighbouring development notices and representing McDonald's interests with neighbouring property owners, occupiers, developers and governing authorities.
  • Managing the excess property portfolio for the region including leasing, renewals, options, exiting tenants and market rent reviews.
  • Negotiating and documenting ancillary agreements for parking, access, signage and storage as required.
  • Supporting the Senior Property Manager with key property transactions including: lease option exercises, lease renewals/lease variations, restaurant/site closures, new licenses and easements.
  • Contributing to fortnightly and quarterly reporting
  • Qualifications:

    Your keys to success:

  • Knowledgeable and has an understanding of Freehold and Leasehold Property Administration
  • Holds a degree or diploma in property ideal but not essential
  • Minimum 2 years in property management
  • QSR experience desirable but not essential
  • Able to travel regionally and interstate where necessary
  • Strong in interpersonal skills and ability to build strong reciprocal relationships
  • Knowledgeable and has an understanding of Freehold and Leasehold Property Administration
  • Known and trusted for knowledge and expertise and confident in one's ability
  • A strategic thinker who sees the big picture with ability to make good decisions based on available information and Company priorities
  • Strong in problem solving skills with ability to assist others to overcome obstacles
  • Organised, methodical and able to effective manage and prioritise multiple complex matters at once.
