    Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. Within RBS, the Everyday Products Crew is focussed on building innovative and value creating everyday products for all Australians. It is our role to drive sustainable growth of our everyday transaction account products, by delivering things customers love so they want to do all their banking with us.

    Do work that matters
    As a Product Owner for Cards Modernisation in Everyday Products (Senior Manager level) you will be a squad member dedicated to our transformation agenda and delivering our future platform for debit cards. A once in a career opportunity, you will leverage your product experience, thought leadership, strategic mindset and cards industry knowledge to deliver a new platform, simplification of our product and processes, plus feature enhancements and incredible customer outcomes.

    You will be accountable for and have ownership over the product vision, goals and roadmap for our debit card core processes.

    More specifically you will:

    • Lead a squad to enable multi-year transformational change, including delivery of the debit card platform of the future
    • Act as the voice of the business and translate this for the team, you are not afraid to dive into the detail
    • Maintain a healthy and prioritised backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes
    • Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations
    • Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to
    • Manage the squad's performance to defined goals including OKR (objective and key result) tracking.
    • Develop relationships with and work closely with vendor(s) and internal vendor support teams
    • Role model continuous improvement and customer focus as well as drive squad effectiveness and agile maturity
    • Develop and implement product simplification, migration and future state opportunities across debit card processes
    • Ensure robust operational risk management

    We want to hear from people who have:

    • 7 years+ financial services experience
    • Payments product experience preferred - excellent domain knowledge in the cards lifecycle
    • Large scale experience on migration or modernisation projects
    • Proven experience working across end-to-end Agile projects and technical delivery
    • Influential and confident stakeholder management skills, this role will see you working across risk, product, digital, technology and compliance.
    • Experience in partnerships, commercial contracts, vendor management
    • Experience dealing with a highly complex operational environment
    • A risk management mindset

    The ability and enthusiasm to act as a 'change leader' in supporting transformational activities
