$115-130k plus super FTE (pro rata for part time) plus training allowance and incentive bonus
The Company
The Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA) is the not-for-profit industry association for Australia's customer-owned banking institutions.
Their vision is for more Australians to benefit from a resilient banking sector that prioritises member and community needs over shareholder profits, offering an alternative to traditional banking models.
COBA advocates for the interests of members and the communities they serve, They facilitate collaboration amongst members and provide expert advisory and support services, including a dedicated Fraud and Financial Crimes team.
The RoleAs Events & Engagement Manager, you'll lead COBA's events program, fostering collaboration among stakeholders in the customer-owned banking community.
You'll manage end to end delivery of key events including the CEO & Director Forum, Financial Crimes Symposium, Emerging Leaders events, and the annual convention.
You'll also cultivate partnerships with suppliers and sponsors to enhance member value.The Opportunity
This role can be based in Sydney or Canberra and be 3 or 4 days a week.
You'll work closely with the executive team in a close-knit, flexible and family-friendly workplace.
About You
With a background in events and engagement, you'll need demonstrate organisational and project management skills to manage competing deadlines.

Viewing events and partnerships holistically, you'll understand their importance in achieving organisational goals.

ResponsibilitiesOrganising and execute the annual events program, coordinating a wide-range of program throughout the year
Spearhead the development and management of strategic partnerships, fostering mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and event sponsors
Develop and execute a comprehensive event plan, ensuring an engaging, seamless and informative experience that meets financial and sustainability objectives
Manage efficient and effective PCO relationship and service delivery, whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams to define objectives, themes, and programs
Manage logistics, including venue selection, vendor relationships, speaker sourcing, budget management, operational execution and onsite coordination
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in events management, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
Experience working in an industry association or financial services industry is highly desirable
Proven event management experience in delivering a range of high-quality corporate events
Demonstrated success in managing partnerships and sponsorships
Sound financial management skills, including budget development and forecasting
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to think strategically, and solve problems creatively
