    Would you like an opportunity to be a Senior Program Manager with Major Project Canberra? Then we have a short-term opportunity for you, available from 27 May 2024 through 6 September 2024, with possibility of extension up to six months.

    The Electrification of Government Gas Assets Program (Eo GGA) is looking for an experienced candidate to lead the team who deliver centralised whole-of-Government Program works, supporting the ACT Government in meeting its target for net zero emissions from Government operations by 2040.

    • You'll be working on a Program that will shape Canberra and contribute to the future of the community.

    The Senior Program Manager must demonstrate excellent collaboration, communication and relationship/stakeholder management skills, and the leadership skills to be able to lead and motivate the team, providing appropriate support and guidance for the delivery of the capital works program.

    Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

    Positions classified as Infrastructure Manager/Specialist require the occupant to hold recognised qualifications and/or experience in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management, along with at least 10 years of relevant experience.

    Desirable Experience: Experience in the delivery of large programs of infrastructure related work across multiple sites.

    National Accreditations:

    • General Construction Induction Card (White Card).

    10830 NAT - Course in Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention.
    80803 ACT, 10314 NAT, 10675 NAT, or 11084 NAT - Course in Asbestos Awareness.

    Note:

    This is a temporary position available until 6 September 2024 with the possibility of extension up to six months.

    A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

    This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
