- Provide exceptional inpatient, outpatient, and consultative clinical services in General Medicine and Infectious Diseases, including Hospital in the Home, at RDPH and other regional hospitals in the Top End and Central Australian Health Services.
- Offer clinical governance support to Hospital in the Home by contributing to service development, guideline input, staff education, and participating in relevant Hospital Committees.
- Deliver specialist support, education, and information to staff, service providers, and community groups as needed.
- Must be eligible for specialist medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Hold relevant specialist qualifications such as Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent, with specialized training in Infectious Diseases.
- Have a minimum of six years of full-time experience in medical practice as a staff specialist.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting fair access to quality healthcare and enhancing health outcomes, especially for Indigenous Australians.

Location: Fixed, part-time position available in either Darwin or Palmerston
This role involves delivering top-notch specialist care in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine by participating in inpatient, outpatient, and Hospital in the Home services at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospital (RDPH). Responsibilities include supervising and educating junior staff, engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives, and actively participating in professional development opportunities within the department.
