    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Fitter who loves working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. If that sounds like you and you thrive on a challenge, then why not join our team as a Shift Fitter / Fitter at the Plane Creek Mill located in Sarina QLD.

    As a Fitter and Turner/Shift Fitter and Turner, you will undertake shift work, some weekend work and overtime during the Crushing Season and day work in the Maintenance Season. The crushing season you will be responsible for helping to ensure the continuous running of equipment and machinery, and in the maintenance season you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance inspections and repairs.

    Primary responsibilities:

    Main duties include but are not limited to:

    • Carrying out inspection of plant and equipment and providing condition reports.
    • Installation and monitoring of plant and equipment.
    • Fault-finding on plant and equipment.
    • Ensuring control systems are operating correctly and are adjusted accurately.
    • Carrying out maintenance and adjustments on machinery as required.

    Specific Requirements:

    The experience and qualities which are important to us in this role are:

    • Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical.
    • Manual driver's license.
    • A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a whole range of people.
    • A true team player who understands the value of teamwork.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • The ability to proactively focus on stakeholders.
    • Someone who takes personal responsibility and accountability seriously.
