    The core capability requirements for this role are:


    • Manage significant, complex and varied technical communications projects, including performing planning, user requirements analysis, specification, resource analysis, documentation, offer processing, implementation and commissioning activities in conjunction with established guidelines.

    • Apply high-level analytical skills, develop and maintain project schedules, including continual assessment and reporting on projects issues, schedule, resources and requirements, to ensure that projects are implemented within agreed timeframes, quality and budget.

    • Liaise with and supervise allocated CIDC technical staff and contractors involved in the implementation of project work packages.

    • Prepare and maintain project budget estimates, assets, expenditure record control, project submissions, technical plans and specifications in support of service delivery of Frontline Communications Systems.

    • Provide a proactive approach to project coordination, system development, management reporting, schedule monitoring and process improvement; and undertake other technical coordination duties as directed by Management.

    • Develop, coordinate and implement technical system training specifications and documentation, including the provision of training for operational and technical staff in conjunction with operational training officers.

    Role Requirements:

    Mandatory:

    Associate Diploma in Electronics/Communications Engineering or equivalent qualification with a minimum of five (5) years industry equivalent experience.

    Qualification:

    Applicable Australian Communications Media Agency licences or a commitment to obtain the appropriate licences.

    Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:

    Completion of post-trades training in electronics to enable the jobholder to research and apply new techniques to moderately complex technical problems.

    Other:

    Current C class drivers' licence.
