    About the Role:
    We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced and mobile Project Directors for regional based roles.

    As the Project Director, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of major and complex Rail projects with multiple work streams.

    You will ensure that the projects adhere to design requirements, time and cost constraints, and meet targets related to commercial, HR, safety, quality, environment, and community.

    Your goal will be to achieve or exceed project financial targets by identifying and resolving issues and taking advantage of opportunities that may arise.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage the overall delivery of the project/s, on or ahead of time with all client expectations metAssign resources to deliver the works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goalsManage the specialist functions of design, engineering, procurement and construction, manage the interaction of various disciplines and multiple work streamsLiaise with the construction team to modify design and methods as necessaryReview progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates and take effective remedial action as requiredEnsure strong contract, commercial and financial risk management, accurate forecasting of both costs and revenue, take corrective action in line with JH's authority and reporting frameworks and maximise the profit margin for the projectSupport the Precontracts Manager for bidding and tendering of new projectsDemonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental managementDemonstrate leadership in risk management, compliance and auditing, and ensure legislative, precontract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building CodeEnsure that stakeholders are actively engaged and that beneficial relationships between the project and the client, subcontractors, community and other external parties are developed and maintainedDevelop and maintain strategic business relationship with key clients key industry partners that result in viable prospects/projectsMonitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractorsFoster and develop high performance team/s, mentor and develop and play an active role in developing the careers of our Engineers, Contract Administrators, Project Managers and SupervisorsActively participate in new business/work winning, continuous improvement and broader business activitiesPerform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, systems, reporting and proceduresWhat we are looking for:Bachelor of Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent15+ years of experience in project management rolesManagement of multidisciplinary projects and project teamsContemporary practices in design and construction methodologyContractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative complianceAdvanced financial and commercial management including cost reduction and meeting budgetsPeople and performance management including the performance of subcontractorsComplex client relationship and stakeholder managementQuantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessmentAnalysis of and reporting on complex project performance, compliance, defects and/or non-conformanceWe offer:Competitive remuneration with salary continuance, and salary sacrifice optionsGreat leave benefits including 18 weeks paid parental leave with super and up to an extra 18 weeks of super paid on further periods of unpaid parental leave, multicultural leave exchange and two extra days to prioritise your wellbeingCareer progression underpinned by our exciting pipeline of work means you'll have the opportunity to work on iconic projects that are shaping cities and communitiesLearning and development opportunities where you'll have access to emerging talent programs, building your career through clear career pathways, plus technical and leadership training and development opportunitiesInclusion, diversity and equity is part of how we work.
