    About the Role

    Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Development Contract this position is responsible for ensuring that the mine development contracts are safely delivered against the weekly and monthly plans.

    This position is based at Olympic Dam and is offered on a 5:2/4:3 residential or FIFO (ex-Adelaide) basis.

    In this role you will:

    • First and foremost, focus on creating a culture of care and be a visible safety leader through engaging, developing and coaching the contract teams.
    • Review, process and track monthly contractor invoices and claims.
    • Track contractor performance in relation to key performance metrics.
    • Conduct audits and inspections in line with the development contracts.
    • Project manage cost and productivity improvement initiatives, in conjunction with contract partners.
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with other departments to share knowledge, experience, and expertise in order to achieve business objectives.
    About You
    • Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in 'Safety Leadership'.
    • Confident communicator who can effectively engage internal and external stakeholders, influencing and driving decision makers to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Previous underground metalliferous mining experience is essential, preferably in a Development environment.
    • Strong focus and commitment to upholding operating discipline.
    • Well-developed analytical and critical assessment skills.
    • Relevant tertiary engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
    • Project management experience is desirable.
    • Underground mining supervisory experience is also desirable.
