    Ensuring SAPOL's risk managementprocesses and internal control environments are effective andoperating as designed, the Director, Risk and Assurance isresponsible for leading, advising on and coordinating themanagement of SAPOL's Risk Management Portfolio and Framework, driving an appropriate, consistent and robustapproach to governance.

    In this rare leadership position,reporting to the Assistant Commissioner, Governance and Capability Service, the Director will support SAPOL to detectpotential threats to reputation, financial sustainability,operational efficiency, and workforce safety; develop, manageand review the implementation of the Audit Plan andassociated strategies; direct and coordinate the delivery ofregular audit and risk analysis reports; and, lead thedevelopment and implementation of Business Continuity Management capability across SAPOL.

    Interest is sought from applicants withsubstantial senior level experience in managing thedevelopment and implementation of Risk Management frameworksand strategies, as well as exceptional interpersonal skillsensuring the establishment of effective working relationshipsacross SAPOL and the wider public sector to maintain currencyof issues and collaborate on common responses to emergingand/or developing issues.

    We are seeking a risk and assuranceprofessional who will bring to SAPOL innovation, proactivity,commerciality, and the ability to foster and drive anappropriate risk, assurance and governance culture within acomplex, fast-paced, ever changing and multi-facetedenvironment.
