    The Role
    This role will work within the Facilities area of the Warfighting Networks and Applications Support Organisation (WSO) | ICT Delivery Division, Defence Digital Group, Department of Defence.

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced ICT Facilities Support Officer to oversee the WSO ICT Facilities located in both Canberra and Interstate.

    An APS6 ICT Facilities Support Officer will work independently with reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of their work. They will exercise both initiative and judgement in policy, practices and security policies.

    The applicant must have experience in managing facilities and authoring Datacenter documentation suites such as SOPS, documenting data-hall rack layouts including managing passive cabling infrastructure within the data-hall and between geographically separated sites.

    The APS6 ICT Facilities Support Officer will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement including Security and Estate Group (SEG) will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues.

  • Report on and provide advice to Senior Leadership Team;
  • Report on the identification, assessment and control of risks;
  • Liaison skills for overseeing the coordination of the external facilities team;
  • Attention to detail with the ability to create high quality documentation and procedures;
  • Experience in previous ICT Facilities management roles and or ICT Delivery;
  • Knowledge of relevant Defence processes including compliance with all health and safety regulations;
  • Undergo Security Officer Training to provide advice on physical security;
  • The ability to Travel interstate when required.
