    Projects & Technical Advice
    Analyse new and amended Accounting standards, impact on FCTG and liaise with external auditors
    Develop and update global FCTG accounting policies
    Prepare technical accounting papers on key issues/ transactions and provide ad-hoc accounting advice as required
    Work independently and with other team members on technical topics to achieve practical outcomes
    Use technical knowledge and relationship with the business to be a catalyst for change and deliver commercial insights.
    Business Partnering
    Work with businesses to ensure that advice and information can be provided proactively and as required
    Monthly review of information received from specific businesses– analysis and checklists, high-level review for accuracy, reasonableness and business understanding
    Liaise with GM's and FC's to answer queries on the month-end process or any technical areas

    Gain an understanding of businesses, explain why certain information is required from GFR and discuss how GFR can assist them.

    Perform deep dives into key accounting processes to ensure global "one best way" is maintained
    Half-Year & Year-End Statutory Reporting
    Collation and preparation of schedules required by external auditors.
    Assist in the preparation of FLT Annual Report and half year financial statements
    Assist in the preparation of Audit Committee reports and analysis
    Assist with local statutory financial statements as required
    Month-End & Board Reporting
    Preparation of areas of global board reporting
    Review of overseas and local results
    Relationships
    Work with businesses to build relationships, understand the business and provide timely and accurate advice
    Build relationships and provide support to the Executive team
    Work with other Global expert teams (e.g.
    Global Tax, Global Treasury and Corporate Finance) to ensure best accounting outcomes from business strategies

    Who you are:
    CA/CPA Qualified, minimum 2 years post completion
    Experience within an accounting firm (audit preferred) required
    Technical accounting experience under AASB / IFRS
    Advanced excel skills
    Power BI experience is advantageous but not essential
    Commercial experience would be viewed as a benefit, but not mandatory
    Ability to deliver practical commercially focused solutions
    Desire to constantly improve and agitate for positive change
    Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
    Ability to learn new processes quickly and efficiently
