Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description

The Mine Trades Technician: Electrical is responsible for ensuring all activities undertaken are performed in line with safety and statutory requirements. You will be required to complete underground maintenance duties to ensure the team safely meets production targets within an underground coal mine.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering: Electrical or equivalent
• Hold a valid Electrical Licence
• Current Standard 11 (Surface & Underground)
• Proven maintenance experience within an underground coal mine
• Demonstrated experience contributing to a team of professionals to deliver against set targets
• Experience delivering best practice electrical maintenance
