    About the Opportunity

    Reporting to the Capital Works Manager, you will project manage capital procurement and engineering projects from concept through to completion. The projects are critical to improving the efficiency and sustainability of facilities and infrastructure in support of the submarine business. You will also assist the maintenance team with general technical advice on maintenance engineering issues and problem solving breakdowns when required.

    This a 1 year fixed-term contract.

    Responsibilities

  • Through design principles, develop scopes of work and technical specifications for facilities upgrade and improvement projects.
  • Provide technical review of quotes and tenders from suppliers and determine fit for purpose project solutions
  • Manage delivery by contractors and perform contractor site inductions, permits to work and ensure contractor conformance to ASC WHS&E policies and external legislative requirements
  • Support the Facilities Department in regards to the daily activities of site facilities management
  • Ensure compliance with any reasonable instruction that is given to you by the Capital Works Manager
  • Skills & Experiences

  • Engineering Degree qualifications in a Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Expertise in providing technical support, project support and project management in respect to the development of facility requirements
  • Strong experience of infrastructure and plant and equipment installation and maintenance
  • Ability and confidence to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience of managing facilities projects safely and within schedule, cost and quality boundaries.
