    Becoming a Disability Support Worker at Cocoon SDA Care

    About the Role

    We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team at Cocoon SDA Care. As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our participants who require support with complex care and high physical needs.

    Our ideal candidate will have experience in managing participants with challenging behaviors and be available for overnight shifts (6am-2pm or 2pm-6am). You will work in Supported Disability Accommodation to support those with medical needs and manual handling requirements to live in an environment that maximises personal growth and independence.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage participants with complex care and high physical needs
    • Provide support and assistance with daily living tasks
    • Encourage independence and lifestyle choices
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

    Requirements

    • Certificate III in Individual Support Disability, Aged care or equivalent
    • First Aid, CPR, Manual Handling, and Medication Administration training or willingness to obtain
    • Current Driver's License
    • National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS Worker Screening check
    • Working with Children Check
    • Good command over English language
