    The Position:
    As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, meticulously managing the ledger and providing valuable insights into business performance. This position is responsible for ensuring the provision of accurate and timely information to management and promotes key stakeholder engagement, forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monthly management of site reporting and financial reporting.
    • Preparation of reports and statutory accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • Analysis of mine site profit/loss with commentary and project reporting.
    • Financial modelling and forecasting activities, providing business insights for management.
    • Review and preparation of capital requests.
    • Timely completion of the month-end process, including finalising accounts and preparing variance analysis against budget or forecasts.
    • Entry of standard journals into the ERP system, managing accounting and financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations, and addressing reconciliation issues.
    • Maintaining data integrity within the general ledger, ensuring correct cost allocations.
    • Support with annual audit processes.

    The Successful Candidate:

    • Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting.
    • CPA/CA membership, or currently studying.
    • Strong management accounting and reporting experience.
    • Large ERP use – Pronto, SAP, etc.
    • Data analytics experience is desirable.
    • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement experience is crucial.
