    Job Summary (Purpose):


    The Operations and Safety Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting key site operational activities, including continuous improvement and Factory Performance and Reliability (FP&R), as well as supporting all site safety matters. This role is responsible for championing employee awareness of safety matters in order to improve overall plant safety performance and maintain site safety records to provide accurate data. Through collaboration with stakeholders, this role involves organising and implementing all safety protocols and guidelines within the facility, as well as aiding the operations team with daily administrative duties. This role entails a close partnership with the operations team to advance continuous improvement initiatives and meet operational demands.

    Main responsibilities:


    1. Coordinating key site based ongoing operational improvement initiatives and compliance programs.
    2. Drives and supports continuous improvement philosophy onsite, engages cross functionally to support Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R) program.
    3. Works closely with team leaders supporting daily operational requirements.
    4. Engaging in regular safety inspections and proactive tours of the Villawood manufacturing site; management of follow-up actions, issuing reminders, and ensuring the completion of necessary actions.
    5. Maintaining site Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) documentation, as well as fulfilling all necessary reporting obligations at the divisional and local levels within the designated systems.
    6. Liaising with external suppliers to manage key safety and operational resources, from first aid supplies to ensuring adherence to regulations of safety apparatus on the premises (spill containment kits, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), and more).
    7. Assisting with the management of injuries; support and coordination of related processes.
    8. Supporting the management of site administrative inventory, site Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and completing associated invoicing.
    9. Supporting the administration of Operational projects.
    10. Organising and managing safety compliance training, including responsibility for 100% training completion and scheduling.
    11. Coordination of site safety permits and records, ensuring attainment of required certifications such as forklift licences, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Elevated Work Platforms (EWP), and others.

    Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc):


    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or Work Health and Safety. Minimum 2 years' experience required in a safety or operations role.

    Preferred Requirements:


    Workers compensation and return to work experience. Google suite experience.
