    About the role:
    The Head of Strategic Supplier Management position, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, is a newly established role aimed at assisting the organization in enhancing its procurement capabilities towards strategic supplier management. The role focuses on strengthening holistic third-party risk management to enhance resilience through partnerships and security capabilities while maximizing value within Avant's supply chain across the entire group. This role is ideal for an ambitious leader seeking career advancement.

    Key responsibilities of the role:

    • Lead the shift from a decentralized function to a Group procurement model.
    • Advance the current function to a strategic supplier management process as per the outlined roadmap.
    • Enhance organizational compliance with CPS 230 and CPS 231.
    • Provide oversight and strategic guidance on Avant's real estate portfolio and facilities division.
    • Offer leadership and professional development to the Procurement Manager and Facilities team.

    Key requirements for success:

    • Tertiary qualifications in business/commerce, finance/accounting, engineering, IT, or related fields.
    • Background in Financial Services or Insurance (preferable).
    • Experience in engaging with C-level executives.
    • Proven track record in managing multiple vendor relationships effectively.
    • Demonstrated success in establishing strategic and mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to lead change, complex teams, budgets, and projects.
    • Significant experience in practical governance and risk management.
