    Role Description/Criteria

    Classroom Teacher Position

    Applications are invited from suitable persons for the full time, fixed term contract position of Classroom Teacher to commence on July This position is for a Grade 5 class in Term 3 and a Grade 6 class in Term 4.

    This teaching position is being offered to a passionate, dedicated teacher that has a disposition toward personalised, contemporary learning in a nurturing environment. The applicant must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, life-long learning, gospel values and teachings. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

    Special Requirements

    • hold current VIT registration
    • accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school or display a willingness to undertake this qualification
    • proof of personal identity and any professional or other qualifications

    The successful applicant will;

    • be familiar with and comply with the school's Child-safe Policy and Code of Conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
    • possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to learning and teaching
    • have a clear understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices
    • demonstrate an ability to collaborate and actively contribute in a team focused environment with a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning with the ability to use data to drive planning and differentiate learning.
    • demonstrate the ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to students with diverse educational, social and emotional needs and abilities
    • be able to collate and analyse data and evidence in order to make adjustments and provide care and support for students of all abilities
    • respect the ethos of the school and its environment
    • demonstrate a passion for innovation (including the use of Technology) and embrace change and new learning with a focus on improvement of self and others and an understanding that we are all lifelong learners.
