    NES Fircroft are working with an Oil & Gas EPCM seeking a professional and dedicated Cost Control Engineer on the Jansz-I0 Project.

    Hours: 8 hour days


    Location:
    West Perth

    Length of Contract:12 month contract

    Experience Level:
    Offshore project experience preferred.

    The Project:

    Jansz-lo field (part of Greater Gorgon Development) is located 130 kilometres off the west coast of Barrow Island, Western Australia.

    The field is connected to a gas processing facility on Barrow Island by subsea and cross island pipelines and umbilicals.

    The field is located at 1,350m water depth.

    The Jansz-lo project offshore development consists of installation of a subsea compression facility powered by a high voltage submarine cable which runs from Barrow Island to a floating field control platform.

    Medium voltage power umbilicals connect the floating control platform to a subsea compression station.

    The subsea compression station receives produced gas from the existing Janz subsea system via subsea spools and a subsea compression manifold.

    The compressed gas is discharged back into the existing pipeline for transfer to Barrow Island.

    Reporting to the PCON Manager, you will cooperate with existing PCON team to manage the cost control system in order to support the PM decision-making process and allow him to complete the project within the approved budget.

    The project has approximately 2 years remaining.

    Key Accountabilities:


    Cooperate with existing PCON team to manage a cost control system to support the PM decision-making process and allow him to complete the project within the approved budget.

    Ensure any deviation from budget is promptly spotted and analysed, final impact is estimated, and the effect of corrective actions taken and monitored;
    Create a cost awareness atmosphere among project team;
    Satisfy the Operating Company and Corporate requirements for the cost control reporting, cooperating with the proper interfaces;
    Ensure the Cost Control System works effectively, and cost status is soundly assessed and reported;
    Monitor activity progress and the relevant earned value, as well as the value of work done against the invoices received, determining the monthly accruals (to have accounts in line with works progress);
    Support the Project during the contract changes/claims process providing the cost impact analysis, and keep updated the cost/revenues forecast relevant to intercompany services;
    Analyse committed costs and activities to-date, review the estimate to complete, isolating any deviation from baselines or adverse trend and warn the PM on time to take corrective actions to prevent overruns;
    Assist the Project Control Manager in the Project Status Report preparation and Project reporting; and

    Support the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project close-out Report and the cost feed-back data to Project Control and Commercial Departments.


    Professional Qualifications:
    3 —10 years' experience;
    Degree in Business Economics school and Management Engineering, if not similar degrees or graduated to Accounting school;
    Experience working in a project environment;
    Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new systems and tools; and
    Good Knowledge of SAP.

    Experience:
    Excellent verbal and written communication (in English), with very strong attention to detail and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically and directly;
    High level of initiative, self-drive and enthusiasm to succeed and progress;
    Very good organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, manage expectations and coordinate priorities;
    Strategic thinking mindset;
    Attention to details; and flexibility.
