    About the opportunity

    Work for one of the Yarra Valley's most iconic venues and take pride in managing a section for one of best eateries in the area.

    The venue is situated in the entrance of the valley and has multiple casual to premium offerings including a bistro and events space.
    After years of success they are now considered as one of the main go-to food and beverage destinations in the valley.

    As a Chef de Partie you will play a key role in maintaining an excellent reputation for the venue that is best known for their honest and uncomplicated dishes, beautiful presentation, and guest experience that keeps the locals coming back for more each week.

    The venue has a central kitchen, with a combined team of 10+ Chefs so the ability to help coach and develop teams/groups of Chefs will be an advantage to any applicant.

    The candidate

    • 2+ years experience as a Chef de Partie working for a smart-casual operation is essential
    • A record working for small groups or stand alone restaurants that champion creative change
    • You prefer a type of service that is not uptight, instead very relaxed and inviting to talk with guests at the table, and menus that compliment the guest experience
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that know how to adapt and work with Chefs of all levels, from managing up to Executive Chefs to inspiring future star Chefs
    • Experience managing stock, ordering and assisting with rosters is desirable but not essential
