    About the Company

    Our client was established in 2018 and is firmly established as a leading provider of concrete placement and construction solutions for Tier 1 Developers in Queensland. These services include Concrete Placement, Concrete Ground Slabs, Suspended Decks and Commercial Paving. This role will be in our head office in Virginia, Brisbane.

    About the Role

    We currently have a Full-Time position available for a Project Manager to join our team based in Brisbane. Reporting to the Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of construction projects from initiation to completion. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in the business expansion over the coming 12 months.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Planning and Execution:

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
    • Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction projects.

    Budget and Cost Management:

    • Establish and manage project budgets.
    • Monitor project costs and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.

    Contract Management:

    • Negotiate and administer contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

    Quality Control:

    • Implement and monitor quality control measures to meet industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
    • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

    Communication:

    • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns.

    Problem Solving:

    • Address and resolve issues that arise during construction promptly.
    • Develop creative solutions to overcome challenges.

    Safety Management:

    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Monitor and address safety concerns throughout the construction process.

    Skills Required

    Personal skills required for this role include:

    • Sound organisational abilities, including the ability to manage your own time to complete jobs within a required time frame
    • High-level Excel skills and working knowledge of Procore advantageous
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong rapport with customers
    • Sound understanding of Concrete Structures- specifications
    • Strong Contract negotiation and dispute resolution experience
    • A strong team player with a willingness to learn

    Required Qualifications

    Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in a client-facing role.
