    About the role

    The role of the Senior Systems Engineer is to provide specialist systems engineering support engineering design projects. Evaluate the UGL design process against the requirements for systems engineering on a continuing basis. Develop and enact plans for the implementation/integration and continuous improvement of systems engineering methodologies and practices into the UGL design process.

  • Develop the Systems Assurance related documentation, process guidelines to support the business.
  • Define and monitor effective implementation of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) processes
  • Establish clear communication, solid lines of control and delegation to sub-ordinates and actively create and maintain a culture of openness, responsiveness, honest, ethics and responsibility across the team.
  • Audit and improve the assurance life cycle processes as described in UGL Way or equivalent
  • Attend meetings and workshops with the various internal and external project stakeholders.
  • About You

  • Tertiary degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering (or equivalent industry experience in the absence of a degree);
  • 10 years+ experience in large Rail, Road, Tunnel projects or other safety critical environment
  • Must have an Australian Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
