Our St Josephs Residential Aged Care home in Coffs Harbour is searching for a dedicated Chef Manager to join our team. This full-time, permanent Monday - Friday position oversees the efficient operation of the home's commercial kitchen and dining service, ensuring our residents savor a variety of fresh and wholesome meals daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the provision of Nutritious meals
• Managing kitchen resources within budget constraints
• Ensuring food safety and compliance with Aged Care Quality standards

As a Chef Manager, you will interact with various stakeholders including the Home leadership team, Employees, Residents, their families, friends, and suppliers. Reporting directly to the Residential Manager, you will supervise Cooks and catering assistants.

The working hours for this role are as follows:
Monday - 06:30 - 15:00
Tuesday - 09:00 - 17:00
Wednesday - 06:30 - 14:30
Thursday - 09:00 - 17:00
Friday - 06:30 - 14:30

Requirements for the Role:

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (mandatory)
• Prior experience in a Commercial kitchen setting within Aged Care
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership
• Solid understanding of food safety practices, kitchen hygiene, and cleanliness
• Familiarity with Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP)
• NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain
• COVID-19 vaccinated
• NDIS Check - or willingness to acquire
• Permanent full-time role
• Located in Coffs Harbour, NSW
