    Our global insurance client is seeking a senior data specialist who also has a background within a Risk/Compliance environment. Please apply if you have worked across both Data and Risk.

    What you'll do:

    As a Data Analyst specialising in Risk, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's business. You will be responsible for using your expertise in coding and data analytics tools to analyse transactional data, risk event themes, issues and other relevant data sources. Your ability to develop internal dashboards for assurance reporting will be crucial in this role. You will also be expected to engage in a culture of innovation, constantly refining and improving data analysis techniques. Your commitment to delivering timely, high-quality analysis will drive success across all parts of the assurance lifecycle.

    • Use coding and data analytics tools to deliver analysis of transactional data, risk event themes, issues and complimentary or contrasting data sources.
    • Develop internal dashboards to deliver insights for assurance reporting to risk committees.
    • Develop scenarios for interrogation and analysis based on the contents of data sets.
    • Engage in a culture of innovation that supports ongoing refinement and improvements to data analysis techniques.
    • Deliver timely high-quality analysis of data for all parts of the assurance lifecycle.
    • Participate in the delivery of end-to-end assurance reviews by providing data interrogation and process evaluation techniques.

    The ideal candidate for the Data Analyst- Risk role brings a wealth of experience and skills. You have proven experience applying data mining and interrogation approaches within control environments. Your proficiency in SQL or Python is demonstrated through past roles. You have experience developing scenarios and exception rules over large transactional databases. Your ability to use various techniques such as analytics, AI tools, and data interrogation has been instrumental in developing insights into risk and control environments. Your strong communication skills, coupled with your ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, make you a perfect fit for this role.

    • Proven application of data mining and interrogation approaches in control environments.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL or intermediate-level Python.
    • Experience in developing scenarios and exception rules deployed over large and complex transactional databases.
    • Ability to use data interrogation techniques, analytics, and AI tools to develop insights into risk and control environments.
    • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
    • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.
