Procurement supplies solutions. Coles Group is a top 30-listed ASX company with diverse needs from thousands of suppliers. Our team specialises in reducing cost and risk across our supply base. We partner with all areas of the business to develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies that innovatively deliver sustainable value to our customers.

About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the team. You will support the category managers with analytical requirements to support the ongoing delivery and strategy.

You will also be responsible for;

maintaining up to date the Initiative Tracker, Contract Repository and Initiative Folders, ensuring benefits are effectively tracked and reported while supporting the endorsement and approval of initiatives
Lead and support RFx process as directed by Category managers
Analytical an operational support for strategic sourcing, SRM, contract performance management, reporting and other procurement activities
Conduct TCO, should cost, commodities management, benchmarking and other analysis to enable better decision and management of suppliers and spend categories

About you and your skills

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist who has a strong analytical skillset.
You will also have;

Related tertiary qualification, ideally with commerce, supply chain management, law or Property category.
Strong business acumen and negotiation skills gained in major projects and contract negotiations.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Highly developed commercial experience, possibly gained in other large commercial/FMCG/Retail enterprise.
Strong experience in procurement or in the commercial management industry.
Deep value chain management knowledge including the ability to look for value beyond savings via efficiency and quality benefits available through technology.
Research and networking skills to ensure Coles is at the forefront of industry leading practices and strategic trends.
