    About the role

    The purpose of the role is to support the Category Lead - IT in providing lifecycle strategic procurement advice and execution across WorkSafe's Corporate Spend portfolio focusing predominantly on ITSS initiatives.

    The role is responsible for undertaking procurement activities (sourcing and contract management tasks), and maintaining and improving supplier arrangements, supporting the Category Lead – IT and Portfolio Manager, and servicing internal stakeholders. Key accountabilities include:

    • Managing RFT/ RFQ market engagement activities and co-ordinating internal resources to support these programs, whilst ensuring the highest standards of ethics and probity is maintained
    • Providing sound and trustworthy advice to key internal clients with respects to all procurement and contractual matters in a manner that is fact-based, accurate, and timely.
    • Assisting in the development of long term strategies for the relevant categories through the development of detailed Procurement Strategy Plans.
    • Managing and maintaining all supplier and contract-related risks, policy and governance requirements
    • Providing business stakeholders with a point of escalation for any systemic contractual or commercial issues. This includes supporting commercial and contractual negotiations and resolving supplier disputes, and in maintaining all Contract and Vendor Management Plans for supply partners where relevant.
    • Providing expert advice on all key supplier contractual matters across the IT portfolio as well as support executing extensions, exemptions, variations and terminations of legal instruments that meet stakeholders' business needs

    About you

    You have a strong Procurement and Sourcing background preferable in a tier 1 consulting, corporate or government organisation. You have sound experience in the IT environment including Hardware, Network and Telecommunications Services, Professional IT services, Software and Systems Architecture, Design and Data Services. You have strong Project Management skills and an ability to engage with senior leaders and executives and provide robust, transparent and sound advice. You will have:

    • Demonstrated experience managing strategic projects in a complex and changing organisation
    • A Proven history of successfully closing out and executing major projects in a timely manner
    • Demonstrable well-developed judgement and problem solving abilities and the ability to show initiative and innovation in the development of solutions and managing issues
    • Exemplary stakeholder and relationship management at all levels
