    Responsible for technical support and services to staff and students for teaching programs.

    • $48.41 per hour plus 11% superannuation

    About the role

    As part of the tech team, you will be responsible for technical support and services to staff and students for teaching programs including Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health and units in Anatomy and Physiology. Under direction you will assist with access, usage, quality assurance and compliance of a number of laboratories.

    You will:

    • maintain accurate records of laboratory requirements, ensuring appropriate equipment and consumables are available;
    • provide technical support for teaching laboratories and activities;
    • ensure technical equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer's requirements; and
    • prepare and safely dispose of hazardous chemicals, biological and other wastes.

    About you

    You will have excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and deadlines ensuring the successful running of the teaching and research activities of our Institute.

    You will possess:

    • experience in coordinating the preparation, organisation and distribution of equipment, consumables and materials in laboratories;
    • knowledge and application of OH&S and EH&S responsibilities in laboratory settings;
    • ability to support academic staff in the use of equipment, conducting and designing simulated health scenarios; and
    • ability to document and maintain a range of accurate technical records.
