- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environmental management
- Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors
- Contribute to the development of work methods and rolling short term construction programs and plan daily/weekly production work
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed
- Complete progress reporting and activity reports for shift handovers
- Ensure compliance of commercial and financial costs including budgets and the implications of directions
- Collaborate with the wider project to ensure the successful implementation of the projects ISCA targets
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs
- Maintain effective consultation with various workers' representatives and committees on industrial and safety subjects
- Trade Qualification or relevant industry experience
- 5+ years construction experience in a similar role
- Substantial industry experience in Trades and Construction
- Skilled in the review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans

About Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3
Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.
John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.
Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.
As construction of GCLR3 gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for a talented and driven Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Gold Coast project.
About the role
Our Nightshift Supervisors will coordinate on-site teams to deliver relevant scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications to achieve effective performance in accordance with detailed short term programs and schedules. This includes the implementation of site safety, quality and environmental controls.
