    • $96,365 - $104,848 per annum (pro rata to be applied) plus Super and RDO

    An exciting fixed-term opportunity has arisen in our Active Ageing Policy and Projects team until 30 June 2025.

    The Active Ageing Policy & Projects team identifies and strategically responds to the challenges and opportunities presented in the over 55s population of Boroondara, including community engagement and co-design, activation of community spaces, supporting the implementation of programs and initiatives to increase older adult participation in the community, health promotion, and community development. This position has responsibility for designing, researching, developing and implementing actions from the Add life to your years - healthy ageing in Boroondara plan.

    A little bit about the role
    Reporting to the Active Ageing Policy & Projects Coordinator, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate meaningful projects in the community and maintain existing stakeholder relationships with key organisations and groups across Boroondara.

    A little bit about you

    You will have sound experience and knowledge of best practice and initiatives relating to healthy ageing and age-friendly principles.

    You will have a demonstrated strong project management experience throughout the project cycle from project initiation, planning and research through to project implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

    You will possess an ability to build relationships and engage with a range of stakeholders in the community including all levels of government, other organisations, networks, and local residents.

    You will excel in communication, both written and verbal. You will be approachable and personable, connecting effectively with diverse audiences. You will make valuable contributions to a collaborative and cohesive culture.

    Qualifications & Employment Requirements

    • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (i.e. Community Services, Aged Care, Health, or Community Development) or experience working in a relevant field
    • Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
    • All City of Boroondara employees must be fully vaccinated. Appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to provision of evidence of vaccination status or medical exemption prior to commencement.
