Responsibilities
- As a member of a small Financial Accounting Team, the Finance Officer provides exceptional customer service delivering across financial processing, account reconciliations, journals, financial reporting and business support activities. This includes providing advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- The role is primarily responsible for processing accounts payables, receivables, banking, reconciliations and related reporting tasks.
- You will be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, have high attention to detail and a commitment to timely delivery within mandated timeframes. You will also have demonstrated experience in accounts processing and be proficient in using computerised accounting systems.
Qualifications
- Recent relevant experience in financial processing (e.g. accounts payable and receivable) within government frameworks, including processing workflow management and e-invoicing.
- Critical thinking skills to ensure accuracy and compliance with frameworks.
- Competency in computerised accounting systems such as TechnologyOne and CBMS, and intermediate MS Excel skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, in particular, the ability to communicate in a clear and concise way with a range of people.
- Personal resilience and adaptability when faced with challenges and competing priorities.
- Assist with other daily operations of the team as necessary.
